Archive years:
1930-1955
The People’s Press online archive is your gateway to over 160,000 pages of the Morning Star and Daily Worker from 1930 to 1955 and 1997 to the present day; all as published on the day they were printed and all searchable by name, word, phrase or date.
Pages from 1956 to 1996 are currently being processed and are being added as they are completed.
Founded in 1930 the Daily Worker was suppressed by the (Labour) British Government between January 1941 and September 1942, resuming publication when Russia became an ally against Nazi Germany.
The archive is supported by the Barry Amiel and Norman Melburn Trust and The Durham Miners’ Association.
